Amazing Smooth and Jazz

Amazing Smooth and Jazz is a Chicago-based jazz station that blends smooth jazz with a broader palette of jazz influences, from contemporary fusion to laid-back instrumental grooves. Chicago has a deep jazz heritage, and this station channels that tradition into an accessible, relaxed listening experience.

The programming centers on smooth, polished jazz — saxophone-led melodies, subtle rhythm sections, and the kind of improvisational play that makes jazz feel spontaneous even at its most refined. Artists like Dave Koz, Boney James, and contemporary jazz performers fill the playlist with music that rewards attentive listening and works equally well as background ambiance.

The audience is drawn to jazz lovers looking for a consistent stream of quality music, office background listening, or late-evening relaxation. Chicago's rich musical history gives Amazing Smooth and Jazz a deep catalog to draw from, and the station honors that legacy while staying current with new releases in the smooth jazz world.
